Gdynia is the youngest of the Tri-City, a 20th-century port with a wide promenade and a working harbour. South along the coast, Orłowo is known for its cliff, wooden pier, and a quieter beach under the forest.
The city feels more modern than Gdańsk: boulevards, shipyards, and ferry traffic rather than merchant Gothic. It is a natural stop for anyone combining the airport or Gdańsk with the northern beaches.
