Słupsk is a historic Pomeranian town on the Słupia, inland from Ustka and the western Baltic beaches. The Castle of the Pomeranian Dukes and the Witch's Tower are the two landmarks most people come to see, with a compact old centre around them.
The town has a strong link to Witkacy. The museum holds a large collection of his portraits. It works as a stop on the way to the coast or as a quieter base than the resorts themselves. Brick, the river, and short distances define a visit more than a long sightseeing list.
