Tczew sits on the Vistula just south of Gdańsk, historically a railway and river crossing with impressive bridges over the water. The town centre is modest; the river and the road/rail junction are what shaped it. The Vistula River Museum tells that story.
Many travellers see Tczew as a short regional hop rather than a holiday destination, but the riverfront and bridges are worth the pause. From Gdańsk it is one of the nearest inland towns.
