Vilnius is Lithuania's capital, a baroque UNESCO old town in a bowl of hills, with Gediminas' Tower above and the Gates of Dawn on the pilgrim route. Užupis, the cathedral square, and a dense church skyline give it a different feel from Polish cities.
The usual road from Gdańsk stays in the EU via the Budzisko/Kalvarija crossing. It is a proper city break at the other end of the Baltic. Private transfer avoids the border-and-bus puzzle with bags.
